Reporting to the Brand Director, the Social Media Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day needs for all social channels. The role also develops compelling, bold, unconventional storytelling that drives business results across all social channels. The Manager will lead the overall strategy, content development, and growth across all social channels while also experimenting with new modes, venues, and partnerships for content. In this role, the Manager will partner with the Community & Special Projects Associate and Creative team on the creation of content that moves our brand forward.
We will count on you to:
- Set strategy for content development across social channels, including content creation and influencer partnerships
- Conceptualize content and brief internal team to develop shareable, unconventional content
- Identify, onboard, and manage external creative partners and content creators to develop compelling content
- Build a strong, brand aligned influencer relationship list for seeding and content partnerships
- Manage and guide work of social with Community & Special Projects Associate, Marketing Operations Managers and Art Director
- Work with Creative team to provide content
- Build and manage content creators
- Develop and execute monthly content calendars across all channels
- Develop specific content for product and campaign launches
- Experiment with non traditional and innovative methods to increase engagement and followers
- Respond to cultural trends and integrate them into our content
- Solicit and incorporate leadership and team feedback
- Track and analyze social, content, and influencer performance
Who we are looking for
- 5+ years of creative experience, including 2+ years of social media management
- Natural storyteller – witty, funny and have your pulse on culture
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet competing deadlines
- Strong understanding of the digital space and what content will perform best within each platform
- Passion for content creation
- Strong people management skills and gives clear direction
- Strong relationship and partnership builder
- Can create own compelling content and help others develop their own
- Has a “no task too small” attitude
