Trust & Safety Program Manager for What Not

💻 Role

The Trust & Safety Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that Whatnot’s products and services are used in a safe and responsible manner. You will work closely with the legal, analytics, product and operations teams to develop and implement policies and processes that help protect buyers and sellers.You have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. You also have a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations, as well as experience in risk management and investigations. Experience in the e-commerce industry and familiarity with marketplace platforms is also beneficial.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing T&S processes 
  • Investigating reports of fraud, abuse, and other inappropriate behavior on the marketplace, and taking appropriate action to address the situation
  • Coordinating with legal, compliance, operations and products teams to develop and implement risk management strategies for the marketplace
  • Monitoring industry trends and developments in the area of trust and safety, and adapting the company’s policies and procedures accordingly
  • Providing training and support to employees on trust and safety policies and procedures
  • Preparing reports and presentations on trust and safety for senior management and other stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5+ years of experience in a trust and safety, legal, compliance, or security role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to project manage
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly assess and respond to complex situations
  • Experience in risk management and investigations, with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Familiarity with industry trends and developments in the area of trust and safety, and the ability to adapt policies and procedures accordingly
  • Proficiency with relevant technology and tools, such as data analysis and reporting software
