Where To Find Remote Job Leads
* Two Chicks with a Side Hustle: This is one of the best places to get good work from home job leads. They find jobs in many different areas but mostly customer service. They do have a non-phone blog for those that do not want to work phones. I recommend subscribing to their YouTube channel or Facebook group with the same name and joining one of their Live Streams. The live chat is so much fun and a great place to get support and advice.
Workersonboard: This site is kind of hard to navigate but will supply you with many good work from home job leads.
* FlexJobs: This can be a good place to find remote jobs, must be since they are still in business, but I have not had much luck here with moderation jobs. All the jobs listed here you can find on your own. However, I have never paid full price, You can find promo codes or use Rakuten (referral link) to get some cash back on a subscription.
Remote Job Boards:
Tip: No matter where you are searching for a job you should always look up the company and try to find the position on the company website and apply directly.
- Justremote.co
- AngelList
- Twine
- VirtualVocations, (subscription required to see some jobs, see review below)
- Remotive
- ProBlogger
- WeWorkRemotely
- FlexJobs (subscription needed, see the review of FlexJobs)
- Indeed: This site has gotten a bad rap, many people complain about scams. As long as you are cautious about what you do it can be a good place to search.
- Google Jobs
- GlassDoor
- ZipRecruiter
* VirtualVocations: For me this is in the same category as FlexJobs, Not really a good place to find moderation, trust and safety jobs. I would recommend searching them as much as you can for free.
Tip: Both FlexJobs and VirtualVocation will not let you see the company name but you can copy/paste and google whatever you can see and usually find the job listing somewhere else. Also, wait for a sale on membership prices or look for discount codes online, You can get three months for the price of one often on FlexJobs.
*GlassDoor: As far as finding remote or moderator specific jobs GlassDoor is not a really good place to look, but the reviews are valuable. You will need to make an account to see all the reviews and look at salary information (salary information is not that accurate in most case but will give you general idea)
* LinkedIn: This is a great place to look for jobs. I recommend taking some time to make sure your profile is as complete as it can be and you spend some time making connections and interacting with posts. I know a lady that offered to refer me to her place of work, and that can help a lot when there are many applicants. They offer one month of Premium free every 12 months, which I like to take advantage of, spend that time on LinkedIn Learning and build up that resume.
* Google Jobs: If you type “(whatever job you are looking for”) job remote” Google will have its jobs search results just under the initial ad they show. Click the more jobs and look through what they pull in. The main issue with Google Job Search is you get lots of trash or old job listings so I would not recommend applying to any jobs directly from these search results. Take what you have in the ad and find the company.
Updating/Creating Your Resume:
